In Loving Memory of Christopher Samora UPDATE

Today we gather to celebrate the life of Christopher Samora  a man who left an unforgettable mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.

Christopher Samora,  known as “The Joker,” passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on April 22, 2025, at the age of 52. Born in Trinidad, Colorado, on April 28, 1972, to Phyllis Torres and Edward Samora, Chris lived a life full of laughter, love, strength, and faith.

He is preceded in death by his beloved brother Rich Samora, nephew Caleb Vasquez, and best friend “Cactus” Kenny Meira. He is survived by his loving wife, Ronda Samora, and his children Alissa (Richard) Pena, Serenity Samora, David (Rose) Ramirez, and Pheona (Ethan) Valdez. Chris will forever be remembered for his contagious smile, big heart, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family.

Chris graduated from Trinidad High School in 1990, where he made his mark as a dedicated wrestler, winning districts and earning a trip to state in his senior year. He attended The American Diesel & Automotive College in Denver and went on to earn a certificate in Automotive from Trinidad State Junior College.

A hardworking man, Chris spent most of his career as a CDL truck driver, proudly serving companies like Pioneer, Heat, XTO, and Rack Transport, where he eventually retired. One of his proudest personal achievements was his prized 1983 Cadillac El Dorado a symbol of the dedication and pride he poured into everything he did.

Chris was a loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, an avid lover of basketball , WWE, and a fierce pool player . He enjoyed spending time with his family, working out playing his favorite classic rock music, and taking care of his plants. He had a deep love for animals, having raised seven dogs and five cats, who were just as loved as any other member of the family.

Chris was known for his generosity and his readiness to help anyone in need family, friends, or strangers. Whether offering a ride, lending a hand, sharing advice, or simply listening, he never hesitated to be there for others. His kindness and selflessness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

True to his nickname, “The Joker,” Chris was always ready to bring laughter into any room. Even in his toughest moments, he never lost his sense of humor or ability to lift others’ spirits. His courageous battle with cancer was marked by strength, positivity, and an ever deepening faith. His relationship with God became his anchor, offering him peace and purpose, and inspiring all those around him.

Chris’s  life is a powerful reminder to love deeply, fight bravely, laugh freely, and trust in God’s plan with all your heart. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, faith, and unconditional love.

Today, as we honor him, we carry forward his spirit  his laughter, his strength, his faith, and his never ending love for his family.

We love you, Chris .Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the unconditional love you gave so freely.

His services are Friday May 9, 2025,  at 11:00 am at Faith Christian Church, 2608 Santa Fe Trail, Trinidad, Co. 81082.

Thank you for the beautiful life you gave me and our kids you will forever be missed.
