He is witty\, acrobatic and skilled at many things\, but he has a very large nose. He is attracted to newcomer Roxanne Kowalski (played by Daryl Hannah)\, an astronomer searching for a new comet. . . but she becomes infatuated with another fireman who is handsome\, yet dim-witted. \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~P.E.O. exists to be a source of encouragement and support for women to realize their potential in whatever worthwhile endeavor they choose. DESCRIPTION:Dedication of the state’s newest photovoltaic generation array which will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday May 26\, 2015.  The array was constructed by the Springer Electric Cooperative with financing provided by USDA Rural Development. SUMMARY:Targets & Treasures~ Shooting Event with Geocaches
DESCRIPTION:Targets and Treasures is an unusual event which will combine target shooting and geocaching on Saturday\, May 23rd The event includes several shooting sports\, archery and the scavenger-hunt fun of geocaching in and around beautiful and historic Trinidad. \nTargets and Treasures will feature target shooting using shotguns\, air rifles\, handguns\, and muzzle-loading rifles plus an archery event. In between the target shooting stops\, contestants will be given coordinates to geocache locations. Those caches must be found before they can move on to the next shooting event. \nWinners will be selected based on the time it took to complete the entire nine-station course. \nThe contest will start and end at Trinidad State Junior College’s Prator Gun Range\, located six miles southeast of Trinidad\, 42013 County Road 24.6.  \nThe entry fee of $75 per team includes ammunition and the use of firearms. Register online at targetsandtreasures.com \nWalk-ups are welcome\, but space will be limited to 40 teams. \nSafety briefing 7 a.m. at Prator Gun Range \nShooting starts at 8 a.m. \nSponsored by TSJC and the Trinidad Tourism Board.

DESCRIPTION:The Raton Kids Khorale and The Raton Glee sponsored by the The Santa Fe Trail School of Performing Arts announces their end of the year concert. It will be held in the Shuler Theater at 7:00 PM on Monday\, May 18th. The choir programs have had a difficult year and have not performed for the public except for the Shuleranniversary  program in April. So…..this will be a cumulative program of all of their hard work since September of 2014. \nOur program will consist of choral works from the classical to the most contemporary\, performed inlarge group form\, solos and even a special instrumental selection. This concert has no admission charge and is open to everyone. \nPlease come and support our community choir program.
