The meeting is open to the public\, and participation from community members is highly encouraged. \n  \nThe ARC assists partner agencies by working with them by pooling resources and identifying new opportunities for networking\, development strategies and training. Improving each agency’s capacity to distribute more food and services to those in need is a priority for the ARC.  \nLunch will be provided for attendees. As the food bank for nine Northern New Mexico counties\, The Food Depot provides food to more than 145 nonprofit agencies including emergency food pantries\, hot meal programs\, homeless shelters\, youth programs\, senior centers\, homes for the mentally disabled and shelters for battered persons.  This service enables these agencies to stay focused on their primary missions such as sheltering homeless families\, providing hot meals to the homebound and offering life skills development to youth. The food bank distributes an average of 400\,000 pounds of food and household products each month\, providing more than 500\,000 meals to people in need — the most vulnerable of our community — children\, seniors\, working families and those in ill health. \n

SUMMARY:Targets & Treasures~ Shooting Event with Geocaches
DESCRIPTION:Targets and Treasures is an unusual event which will combine target shooting and geocaching on Saturday\, May 23rd The event includes several shooting sports\, archery and the scavenger-hunt fun of geocaching in and around beautiful and historic Trinidad. \nTargets and Treasures will feature target shooting using shotguns\, air rifles\, handguns\, and muzzle-loading rifles plus an archery event. In between the target shooting stops\, contestants will be given coordinates to geocache locations. Those caches must be found before they can move on to the next shooting event. \nWinners will be selected based on the time it took to complete the entire nine-station course. \nThe contest will start and end at Trinidad State Junior College’s Prator Gun Range\, located six miles southeast of Trinidad\, 42013 County Road 24.6.  \nThe entry fee of $75 per team includes ammunition and the use of firearms. DESCRIPTION:Dedication of the state’s newest photovoltaic generation array which will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday May 26\, 2015.  The array was constructed by the Springer Electric Cooperative with financing provided by USDA Rural Development.
