SUMMARY:Main Street Comedy w/ David Rodriguez & Friends Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre (SCRT)
DESCRIPTION:Presented by : \nThcu710\nw/ support from \nBigtop Studios\nLittle Stinker Septic & \nMoose’s Social Club and Martini Bar\n\n\nHosted by Southwest Chief Bicycle & Comedy Festival\n\nTICKETS!\n.\nMasks are required for entry into this socially distanced comedy show and must be worn while moving throughout the venue. Susceptible populations are strongly recommended to refrain from participating in this event.\nSocially distanced comedy is back in Trinidad\, Colorado featuring David Rodriguez and Allison Rose hosted by Jay Gillespie Saturday September 12th at the Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre! 6pm Doors\, 7pm Show! Tickets will be $10 in advance and $15 at the door.\n\n\nDavid\n(not Dave\, please. Unless it just sounds right coming from you. You’ll know if it does. You know what forget I even mentioned it) Rodriguez is an up-and-coming stand-up based in Fort Collins\, Colorado where he currently has plans to open a brand new club The Comedy Fort in early 2021. His jokes have been featured on NPR\, at Just For Laughs\, and many other festivals and clubs across the country. In 2017 he was the winner of Comedy Works’ prestigious “New Faces” competition. He is married with two children so when he’s not on stage he is cleaning or sleeping. \n\n\nAllison Rose\nis a Denver comedian and writer. Born on a quiet farm in Kansas\, she came into her own on the loud stages of Colfax dive bars. Marked by thoughtful wording and unabashed honesty\, she isn’t afraid to discuss anything on stage. She has been featured on the Red Clay\, 208\, Savage Henry\, and Yuck Fest comedy festivals. You can find her at shows all around town or hosting the Denver chapter of We Still Like You\, a comedic storytelling show that celebrates our ability to recognize and forgive the shame in all of us. She has also performed on a show with Brian Posehn and with several other comedians you might not know\, but that she thinks should be famous. \n\n\nJay Gillespie\nis the madman of Trinidad comedy! Whether you’ve seen him with his band Ultra Sex Laser or performing music or comedy solo\, a performance by Jay Gillespie is hard to forget. Hitting the stage like a hurricane and tearing through his bizarre and hilarious songs at a breakneck pace\, he leaves audiences bewildered and laughing\, his act is one that must be seen to be believed. \n\nThere are less than 50 seats available so get your tickets before they’re gone!

SUMMARY:Friends of County Road 85.5 4×4 Event Rescheduled for Sept. 19
DESCRIPTION:Lloyd Rosecrans and H.L. Bowman have started a small group of avid 4 wheelers who enjoy driving on challenging roads.  Their local road of choice is County Road 85.5 in Las Animas County.  The road is very rough\, rock and dirt\, one lane\, and only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  The road is quite an adventure\, even for a 4 wheel drive vehicle.  Traveling from east of Trinidad\, the road climbs a steep wooded valley to the border with New Mexico.  The road then continues down a grass-covered valley leading to Sugarite Park in New Mexico. \nIn June\, the 4×4 event asked $20 donations per vehicle and was able to raise $200 for local animal shelters including Noah’s Ark in Trinidad\, and the Raton Animal Shelter.  As animal lovers\, they were proud to donate 100% of the proceeds. \nOn September 19\, 2020\, at 8:00 a.m. the participants will assemble at the old Kmart parking lot in Raton\, NM.  The group will leave for Sugarite Canyon at 9:00 a.m.  Please follow all masks and distancing requirements. \nThis is an opportunity to get out of the house and have some safe family fun.  This is a beautiful drive behind Fishers Peak\, through rarely seen areas of Colorado and New Mexico.  There is no fee to travel on this road\, however\, a $20 donation is asked for the animal shelters. \nA map of the route will be provided at the start of the rally.  Join us for some adventure! \nOnce again\, this is a 4 wheel drive road only. \nFollow the animal shelters on FaceBook and maybe adopt a new best friend!
