SUMMARY:Magician Kicks Off Summer Reading Program

DESCRIPTION:SANTA FE TRAIL Mountain Man RENDEZVOUS Monday through Saturday. \nA re-enactment of the mountain man era\, pre 1840\, on the Santa Fe Trail. \nHosted by NRA Whittington Center at Coal Canyon (off Highway 555) with 6\,800 ft. elevation\, tall pines\, grassy meadows\, & a cool stream. \nActivities include daily rifle and pistol matches\, trail walks\, smooth bore matches\, quail walk\, mountain man and mountain momma run.  Team events: survival walk\, knife & hawk walk & mountain man run.  Primitive archery events\, fire staring contest\, ma & pa cooking contest\, primitive camp contest. They will have a dessert contest\, jug contest\, and Ma and Pa egg cooking. This year there will be a “Grazing” as suggested by a few of the old timers last year.
