After hearing Floyd Cramer perform\, John said\, “now that’s the way the piano ought to be played”. Ever since\, John has been learning and mastering the legendary “bent note” style of the great Floyd Cramer. \nIn 2002 John’s band “Warm Country Heart” performed at the Masters Festival of Music\, which included Floyd Cramer\, Chet Atkins and Boots Randolph. Drummer Jack Gruebel performed with the Masters Three for 15 years and came out of retirement to play with Warm Country Heart and remembers Cramer telling him that Walker was the only player he had heard that played the piano like Floyd Cramer.
