SUMMARY:Cimarron Cowboy Music & Poetry Gathering~ (Philmont)
DESCRIPTION:The 3rd Annual Cimarron Cowboy Music and Poetry Gathering will present over 20 live performances Friday\, August 26th and Saturday\, August 27th at Philmont Scout Ranch. This is a purely Western music and cowboy poetry show that is family-friendly.  \nThe CCMPG offers evening performances Friday and Saturday and throughout the day on Saturday with award-winning singer/songwriters Jim Jones and Doug Figgs\, Randy Huston and Rod Taylor\, Mary Kaye\, The Kaye Sisters\, WMA Poets Floyd Beard\, Susie Knight\, Dale Page\, Terry Nash\, Dennis Russell Nazelrod\, Tom Swearingen and more.  \nA casual\, after-hours session will take place each night on the patio of the historic Express St. James Hotel in Cimarron. \nTickets are $10. Ages 6-12 $5 and Children under 5 are free. \nChuck Wagon and Commissary meal tickets will be available. No pets. No alcohol \nRV parking is available on site. Special-rate camping accommodations offered by Philmont ($10/night for a double-occupancy platform tent with electricity and cots with mattresses. Bring your own sleeping bags). \nWalk to the shows\, the Seton Museum and the Villa Philmonte. \n
