All county & local political candidates are welcome to appear in person on two separate occasions at no charge. No taped interviews will be allowed.
KRTN reserves the right to determine whether a guest appearance qualifies for charge for time used at KRTN’s regular rates.

The popular Sunday afternoon show, Canciones Mexicanas, has been airing on FM 93.9 KRTN since August 2005. Playing the best of New Mexican and Mexican music, while celebrating our unique New Mexican heritage, one song at a time.
Originally a one-hour program with two sponsors, the show now has the support of additional sponsors and airs every Sunday for three hours from 1 pm to 4 pm – serving up your favorite Rancheras, Cumbias, Polkas, Marchas, and traditional Mariachi sounds. Maybe even a surprise or two, anything to get those feet tapping, and smiles happening!
Currently, Canciones Mexicanas is hosted by El Oso Cariñoso, aka Aaron Sena-Stevens, – who says, “It has always been a dream of mine to work at our (local) radio station. I am very excited for the opportunity, and I will make this show a fun one to jam when you all are having get-togethers or takin’ it easy on Sunday afternoons.” El Oso Cariñoso has a passion for Spanish music, and shares the deep love for our rich culture each Sunday through positivity, prayer, and spotlights on local talent.
It is a pleasure for KRTN to share our love for the cultural musical heritage – that is the treasure of Canciones Mexicanas. So lace up your dancing shoes, and warm up those gritos!
