Dedication of Springer Electric Solar Array

Dedication of the state’s newest photovoltaic generation array which will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday May 26, 2015.  The array was constructed by the Springer Electric Cooperative with financing provided by USDA Rural Development. The 3,888 solar panels that make up the array will generate 1 megawatt of electricity which will generate enough power to 400 residential customers on Springer’s distribution system.

Because of the size and significance of this project U.S. Congressman Ben Ray Lujan will join State Director Terry Brunner to help celebrate the completion of the construction for this project and to see firsthand how it will provide electricity to the customers of Springer Electric Cooperative.

Event:  Terry Brunner, USDA Rural Development State Director and 3rd District Congressman Ben Ray Lujan will join the management of the Springer Electric Cooperative to dedicate the new solar power generation station.

Where:  At the Springer Electric Cooperative Sub-Station is located one mile north of exit 441 on the I-25 east frontage road.
