Raton Squashes YellowJackets in Rain Ending Double Header

Raton hosted Clayton at Gabrielle Field Monday afternoon May 17, 2021 for the first home baseball game and double header of the late baseball season.

The first game got underway with Clayton going three up three down followed by Raton racking up six runs and making it through the batting lineup before leaving players stranded to end the first inning of play. Raton shortened the game by knocking in 10 runs in the third to make it an 18-0 ball game ending it in the fifth.

Game two followed the same until the third inning when Clayton managed to get a run in before the lightning caused a delay and the rain ended the game with a Raton win 9-1.
