In Loving Memory of Thomas F. Garcia “Yogi”

Thomas F. Garcia “Yogi” peacefully left us on February 20, 2018 with his family by his side.
Tom was born on July 26th, 1957 to Manuel and Lena Garcia. Many knew him as “Yogi”, a name he’s had since he was a child playing Little League that name just stuck. ”Yogi” dedicated 34 years of his life to the Raton Water Works. Every time you saw the big white water truck, you knew it was him! Tom’s passion was music, especially the drums. He played with several bands across New Mexico/Colorado area such as: Charisma, One Night Stand, Triple Shot, Special Blend, Climax Canyon Band, D’Javu and Tobacco Road. “Yogi” was a dedicated San Francisco 49’s fan, as his room and hard hat surely did show. He was loved by many, and never knew a stranger.
“Yogi” is survived by parents Manuel and Lena Garcia. Children; Cassie Nicole and Thomas (Brody) Garcia, and the mother of his children Lola Garcia. Granddaughter Tiyonie Rodriguez, who he called “Buggy”. Sisters; Deborah Archuleta, Stephanie Garcia and Juan who was his care-giver and was a lot of help during the time Tom was sick. Niece; Natasha Archuleta and her father Chris Archuleta. Special Aunt; Marie Sena, and significant other. Gloria Sanchez, who loved him and held his hand till the end.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, to many to mention. Tom is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Orlando and Grace Sena, and Paternal Grandparents, Poncho and Rachael Garcia.
We will forever miss his laughs, his jokes, his music, his walk, his many hats, and seeing him in the Big White Water truck.
May you rest in Peace, Bear!
