In Loving Memory of Juan Reinaldo “Ronnie” Armijo

Juan Reinaldo “Ronnie” Armijo, went to be with Our Dear Lord on February 6th, 2018. Juan was born on March 3rd, 1958 to Ray and Prexedes Armijo in Raton, New Mexico.
Ronnie graduated in 1976 and enlisted into the United States Army for 4 years, he completed Basic Training in Ft. Dix, New Jersey. He was stationed in Germany and Fort Carson, Colorado. Ronnie was active in many Veteran Affairs Activities.
Ronnie was also a Coal Miner for many years and a truck driver for various companies. His passion was his artwork and many talents in leather and bead work. He received many award on his drawings from the New Mexico Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Veteran Creative Arts’ Festival out of Albuquerque. We recently sent off his newest drawing for this year in hopes of 1st place, as he has received 2nd and 3rd place in the past few years.
ArmijoJuanHe loved to show off his art to everyone, he gave away many drawing to his family and friends. Ronnie loved his motorcycle and motorcycle families. He belonged to the Christians Motorcyclists’ Association and attended all events that the club sponsored.
Our brother never turned down a conversation and always made everyone he met a friend. Ronne loved his family more than life itself.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Prexedes Armijo, Sister Rose Sena and brother in law Alfonso Padilla. He is survived by his children; Valerie (Richard) Cardenas, Juan Reinaldo Armijo Jr. and Victor Pablo Armijo. Grandchildren; Isaac and Ian Cardenas, Zandra and Cyrus Armijo, Destiney Kown, Ariana, Armijo, Kiana Armijo and Kiana Jaramillo. His lovely Girlfriend Sharon Romo that he adored. Also surviving, are is siblings; Frances Salazar, Johnny (Mary) Armijo, Helen (Vivian) Segura, Judy (Duane) Arguello, Victoria Padilla, Ernie (Carol) Salazar, Connie Guara, Peaches Lucinda (Filbert) Ford Jr. Numerous nephews and nieces and a host of family and friends.
Honorary Pall bears: Virginia Candelario, Ted Candelario, Tommy Paiz, Robert durance, Matt Jolley, Mark Nelson, Mike Garcia, and Rose Bernal.
Memorial Service for Juan Reinaldo “Ronnie” Armijo with be on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home, with Monty McGowen, Officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Fairmont Cemetery.
Dinner will be held at the Sweet Shop in Raton, NM immediately following the committal services at Fairmont Cemetery.
