Lundy June (Johnston) Podzemny, age 87, died on Friday, January 26, 2018, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

PodzemnyLLundy June (Johnston) Podzemny was born on June 21, 1930 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada to Lorne Johnston and Gladys (Watson) Johnston. She grew up in Blenheim, Ontario, Canada. June married Bob Podzemny on February 13, 1964 in Claude, Texas. June became a citizen of the US on December 4, 1999. They lived in Amarillo, Texas and Sedan, New Mexico and June was a housewife. While helping with a development in Amarillo, June was instrumental in helping establish the Hollywood Road Community Church in the Greyhawk development. The development bears street names, Lundy, Blenheim, Chatham, Union, Dallam and Ashton as a tribute to her family and many to Bob’s family. June had a contagious laugh and was referred to as “Bubbles”. The family is grateful to the Clayton Nursing Home staff for her excellent care. June was preceded in death by her parents, by a sister; Helen Johnston and a brother; Bill Johnston.

HUSBAND: Bob Podzemny of Sedan, New Mexico.

1 HALF-SISTER: Nancy Johnston of Ontario, Canada.

1 HALF-BROTHER: Paul Johnston of Ontario, Canada.

And numerous nieces and nephews.
