Margie Virginia Cruz, age 67, died on Saturday, January 6, 2018, in Lubbock, Texas.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 12, 2018 by Deacon P. Louis Montoya and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joel Bugas as Celebrant. Burial will follow on the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Margie Virginia Cruz was born on April 29, 1950 in Clayton, New Mexico to Santiago “Jim” Emanuel Cruz and Mercedes Maria (Padilla) Cruz. Margie worked for 17 years as the Head House Keeper at the Motel 6 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She loved her family and they were everything to her, she always did her best to make sure that her children and grandchildren were taken care of. Margie was always laughing and she made nick-names for everybody and she loved to play bingo. Margie was preceded in death by her father; Santiago “Jim” Cruz on May 24, 1993, her mother; Mercedes M. Cruz on February 4, 2003 and by a sister; Elsie Martinez on July 19, 2015.

HUSBAND: Pete Romero, Sr. of Tucumcari, New Mexico.
1 DAUGHTER: Penny Hendren and her husband Orlando Martinez of Clovis, New Mexico.
1 SON: Pete Romero, Jr. of Clayton, New Mexico.
8 GRANDCHILDREN: Samantha Romero, Charles Joseph Romero, Daeja Apodaca, Brandon Romero, Amber Romero, Dylan Hendren, Dennis Hendren & Christopher Romero.
5 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Isaiah Chavez, Cassidy Romero, Aaliyah Chavez, Rihanna Romero & Kaenan Lopez.
1 SISTER: Julia Cruz of Clayton, New Mexico.
4 BROTHERS: Jimmy Cruz and his wife Belen of Borger, Texas, Gene Cruz and Tommy Cruz both of Clayton, New Mexico and Alfred Cruz and his wife Rebecca of Stinnett, Texas.
1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Ruben Martinez of Clayton, New Mexico.
And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
