In Loving Memory of Henry Willis Johnson

Henry Willis Johnson, 69, of passed away unexpectedly in Cummins Canyon on September 21, 2017 ,doing what he enjoyed

. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Hubert Johnson. Henry is survived by his wife, Sue Johnson, his sisters Edna Mae Johnson, Alberta (John) Bender, and Nettie (Mike) Smith, son, Daniel (Nicole) Johnson, his daughter, Heather Johnson, grandson, Jeremiah Medina, and nieces, Jackie and Janelle Bender, Lydia Ratliff, his good pal Bill Keneda, and numerous other friends and relatives.

Henry was born in Trinidad and lived most of his life in  Forbes Canyon, what he termed ” God’s Country”.

JohnsonHenry Over his life, Henry worked in coal mines, on road construction, and as a diesel mechanic.

As a husband, dad, and friend he left a mark on many lives.

Henry was a longtime supporter of local 4-H activities.

He was fond of Shooting Sports and in lieu of any flowers, the family would request donations be sent to Las Animas County 4-H Shooting Sports  in care  Las Animas County Extension Office, 200  E. First St. First Floor, Trinidad, CO 81082.  in honor of his memory.

Private family interment will take place at the Johnson Family Cemetery.

Celebration of Life  and dinner will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 1PM.

Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.

      I haven’t seen Henry in years but knew him when we wentwere young. My condolences to the family especially Susie. Henry was a good, decent, hard working man.
