In Loving Memory of Ramiro Esquivel-Ortiz, Sr.

Ramiro Esquivel-Ortiz, Sr., age 81, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in Borger, Texas.

Rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 by Deacon P. Louis Montoya and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. following the Rosary at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joel Bugas as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

ramiro esquivelRamiro Esquivel-Ortiz, Sr. was born on May 17, 1936 in Rancha La Alameda Mpio De Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico to Tomas Esquivel and Aurora (Ortiz) Esquivel. He loved his job working as a cowboy and later as the night watchman at Union County Feedlot for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Ramiro loved his children and all of his grandchildren. He always enjoyed making people laugh. Ramiro was preceded in death by his parents and by 5 siblings; Baltazar Esquivel, Jesus Esquivel, Florinda Esquivel Antonia Esquivel and Florinda Esquivel that died as a young girl.

SURVIVORS:

1 DAUGHTER: Ana Laura Cruz and her husband James of Fritch, Texas.

1 SON: Ramiro Esquivel, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Borger, Texas.

8 GRANDCHILDREN: Jasmine Cruz, Hannah Cruz, Hunter Cruz, Nautia Cruz, Nathan Cruz, Noah Cruz, Jazmine Esquivel and Paris Esquivel.

5 BROTHERS: Tomas Esquivel of Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, Gonzalo Esquivel of Leander, Texas, Gaspar Esquivel of Austin, Texas and Oscar Esquivel and Roberto Esquivel both of Clayton, New Mexico.

5 SISTERS: Esperanza Maynes and Aurora Solis both of Clayton, New Mexico, Cristina Santos of Kyle, Texas, Argelia Herrera of Austin, Texas and Estela Esquivel of Monterrey, Mexico.

And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
