In Loving Memory of Michael John Festi

Born in Trinidad, CO attended Trinidad Public Schools and Graduated from Trinidad High School in 1961.  Married Frances DiPaolo in Trinidad on March 9, 1962.  Out of this union they were blessed with seven children.  He is survived by wife Frances of 55 years, Children Charlie Sr. (Becky) Festi, Mary (Duane) Turner, Michelle Sciacca, Tammy (Preston) Loeber, Kim Festi, Mike (Kelly) Festi, Jamie (Eric) East.  His pride and joy were his 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, brother Charles (Pat) Festi, several brothers and sisters-in-law and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his father Charles Festi, mother Mae Festi, and sister Diana Coberly.

festiIn his early years, he served his country in the Army National Guard, he owned Charlie’s Bar B-Que and worked numerous jobs before retiring as a conductor with Burlington Northern Railroad.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, served on the Catholic Cemetery Board of Directors and Pastoral Committee.  He served as the secretary of the United Transportation Union and an integral member of the Operation Life Saver.

A public viewing will be held on Sunday June 25th from 3:00 – 6:00 at the Comi Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday June 26th at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  

Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic  Cemetery with graveside services conducted by Ft. Carson Honor Guard.

Honorary pallbearers are Angelina Sciacca,  Sarah East, Ashley Ingoldby, Mitchell Festi, Cameron Festi, Ethan East, Travis Coberly, Douglas Coberly, Troy Coberly, Joseph Ingoldby Baca, and Preston Loeber.

Active pallbearers are Charlie Festi, Robert Festi, Cody Ingoldby, Dustin Ingoldby, Marcus Festi and Aidian East.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society in care of PO Box 178, Trinchera, CO, 81080.
