Esperanza (Espy ) Aurora Santistevan of Trinidad, Colorado, passed away on May 15, 201 at the age of 88.
At the time of her death, she was living at the University Park Care Center in Pueblo, Colorado.
Esperanza was born on February 23, 1929 in Pictou, Colorado , the daughter of Eligio and Cristina Zuniga.
Esperanza (Espy) can always be remembered by her love to dance. No matter where, when and what time, if there was music, you would find Espy dancing.
Preceding her in death are her parents Eligio and Cristina Zuniga, sisters, Margaret Murillo and Rose Mary Gallegos:, brothers, Salvador Zuniga, Joaquin Zuniga and Manuel I. Zuniga.
Survivors include her daughter Diane (Ricky) Gallegos and three granddaughters (Andrea, Nicole and Ashley). She is also survived by sisters and brothers ,Mary Ellen (Tony) Aragon, Peter (Anna) Zuniga, Eligio (Herminia) Zuniga Jr., Joseph (Mary Susan) Zuniga, Dave (Tammy) Zuniga, Antero (Toni) Zuniga and Erma Abeyta. Extended family include numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 with Rosary at 9AM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Mass will follow at 10AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
