In Loving Memory of LaVera (Vickie) Davidson

LaVera (Vickie) Davidson, age 89 of Raton, New Mexico on April 24, 2017 with her children and her grandchildren by her side.

 
Vickie was born, July 28, 1927, in Lavant, Kansas to George Owens and Mary Zentz.

 

Vickie married Leonard (Bill) Davidson of Gunnersville, Alabama on October 12, 1947. Vickie and Bill moved to Raton in 1954, where Bill was a Greyhound bus driver.

 

Vickie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years and one grandchild.

 

Vickie was a lifelong housewife raising their four children, Gerald (Jerry) Davidson of Raton, Robert Davidson of Trout Lake Washington, Linda King of Raton, and Karen Kinlund of Raton. Vickie is survived by all her children, five grandchildren, Colette, Daniel, Charles, Amy, Alan; and four great-grandchildren.
Vickie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, great-grandmother who loved to play video games with her grandchildren, do crossword puzzles, and loved to oil paint. Vickie touched the lives of all who knew her and was dynamite in a small package.
Per Vickie’s request there will be no memorial service held, the family will hold a private ceremony at a later date. The family has requested in lieu of flowers and food, donations be made in Vickie’s honor per her wishes.
Funeral arrangements for LaVera (Vickie) Davidson are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
