Raton hosted the Tierra Encantada Scorpions for a district makeup game Monday afternoon at Gabrielle Field.
Tiger pitcher Dillon Lemons took control and TE went scoreless in the top of the inning. It didn’t take long for the Raton bats to warm up, in the bottom of the inning the Tigers made contact with the ball and the base runners advanced around the bases scoring six runs before the final out of the inning.
Again TE went scoreless despite getting two runners on base. Again the Raton bats took the hits. Coach Mike Marez however held the boys to one base at at time. Even at the one base restriction Raton managed to push seven runners over the plate and would go on to add three more to make it a 15-0 game. Again TE went scoreless and at the end of the top of the fifth the game was over as Raton took it 15-0 in five.
