In Loving Memory of Julia A. Romero

Julia A. Romero age 98 passed away on February 26, 2017 in Raton.

 

Julia was born July 31, 1918 in Las Vegas N.M. the daughter of Antonio and Margarita Sanchez.

 

Julia was a very devout member of St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton, NM as well as VFW Auxiliary in Raton.

 

Julia is preceded in death by her parents Antonio Sanchez and Margarita Trujillo. Sisters; Bersabe Sanchez, Carlota Sanchez, Maria Sanchez and Guadalupe Sanchez. Brothers; Jose Sanchez and Gabriel Sanchez.

 
Surviving Julia is her son John Romero of the family home. Grandchildren; Debra Sandoval and husband Gabriel, Mark Romero and wife Robin, Sheri Romero, Tina Loncar and husband Patrick, Kimberly Sandoval and husband Ross, Kathy Romero and husband Jaime, Gaby Romero, Arthur Romero and wife Luann. 8 Grandchildren and 10 Greatgrandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

 
Visitation for Julia will be at the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Chapel on Wednesday March 1, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Deacon Thomas Alderette officiating. Followed by the Solomon Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Internment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery immediately following the services.

 
Arrangements for Julia A. Romero are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.

    Julia will be missed by many. Her love and dedication to her family was unequivocal. I will personally miss her smile and the blessing she bestowed upon me every month at the Raton Senior Center Health Screening.
