In Loving Memory of Mary B. Zamora

Mary B. Zamora, age 91, passed away on February 9, 2017 at Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

 

She was born in Vigil, CO on June 1, 1925 to Clorinda (Vialpando) and Adolfo Chavez.

Mary zamora Pic (1)Mary was employed as a Superintendent for over 30 years at the Trinidad State Nursing Home until her retirement.

She was a member of the Senior Citizens and VFW Womens’  Auxiliary

Mary enjoyed quilting and baking  delicious pies which she shared with everybody.

She was a friend to all and loved spending time with family and friends.

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Preceding her in death are parents, Clorinda and Adolfo Chavez, husbands Leo Aragon, Fred Zamora, brother Max Chavez, son in law Cid Tapia, grandsons Cid Tapia Jr. and Jeffrey Vigil.

Survivors are children Agnes Vallejos, Larry Vallejos,  Betty Tapia ,Leo Ben (Joanne) Aragon all of Trinidad, Alan Lewter, Ernestine (Ray) Foulks,  Bernadette (Hart) Pires, Jim Zamora and Paula Sutton,  brothers Lee (Nora) Chavez, Trinidad, Pete Chavez, Pueblo, sister in law Pat Chavez, Pueblo, grandchildren Raquel (Jeff) Vigil, Michelle (Frank) Castillo, Larry (Tammy) Vallejos, Joey Vallejos, Luke (Krystal) Vallejos, Melissa (Greg) Swetky, Jim (Andrea) Tapia, Travis Aragon, great grandchildren, Blake, Briana, Brittany, Brett, Jourdin, Justin, Brandon, Dalton, Megan Vallejos, London, Caden, Dixon, Kaleb Vallejos, Brock, Barrett, Taylor Velasquez, Alysia Vallejos, Ayshia, Kyle, Kole Swetky, Michael, Anthony Tapia, Marcus Festi, Mathias, Liam, Travis and Zacchias Aragon, 8 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2PM-6PM at the Comi Chapel.

Rosary will be Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 7PM at Holy Trinity Church.

Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.

Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Vallejos, Dalton Vallejos, Blake Vigil, Anthony Chavez, Marcus Festi, Max Chavez Jr. and Tim Mora.

Active pallbearers are Larry Vallejos, Luke Vallejos, Travis Aragon, Jim Tapia, Brett Castillo and Paul Gutierrez.
