This fishing report, provided by Bill Dunn and the Department of Game and Fish, has been generated from the best information available from area officers and anglers. Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities.

Catches of the week:

 The following came in late but are catches definitely worth mentioning:

  •  Rio Grande: Daniel Romero of Taos caught a 22.5-inch brown trout Jan. 13. He was using a streamer.
  •  Ute Lake: Bill Lampman of Logan caught an 8-pound, 30-inch walleye Jan. 12. He was fishing in 60 feet of water and using a Slingblade.
