In Loving Memory of John Portillos

John Portillos, 60, work here on earth is done. He received an offer he couldn’t refuse. The Good Lord said it’s time to come home, we are going to have a reunion with family and friends.

John is preceded in death by several family and friends.

John is survived by his Father Louis Portillos, Mother Fritzie Mitchell. Daughters, Shannon Portillos, Jennifer Portillos and Step-son Michael Rife. Sisters, Luella Smith, Anna Rennerfedlt and husband Gary, Betty Montoya and husband Al. Brothers, Cip Portillos, Paul Mitchell, Adam Mitchell and wife Anna Grandchildren, Trevor Portillos, Ariona Marquez, Kaylee Maes, Salo Marquez. A very special Aunt Frances Martinez. A special friend Kim Davis and numerous Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Nieces.

portillos-johnWhat can I say about John, he lived his life his way. He could make you laugh for hours. He was one crazy guy. Oh and the stories, there are so many. He made friends wherever he went. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was very mischievous at a very early age, like when he was born, LoL. He was a hard worker, loved to operate heavy equipment, fish, camping, two steppin, loved to balloon Loved cooking for family and friends on his disco. We all know he loved chasing women and bull shitting.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be on November 14, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by Frank Cimino, Jr.. Mass of the resurrection will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Father William Woytavich as the celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, Please attend my services, You know how I loved to be the center of attention.

Lunch to follow at the Parish Hall.

Family will be gathering at the home of his daughter, Jennifer Portillos, 712 Rio Grande, Raton, N.M.

Arrangements and celebration of love for John Portillos are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
