Roberta L Barron (Berta) passed away on October 15, 2016, at the age of 69.
Berta was born November 4, 1946 in Trinidad, Colorado where she was also a longtime resident.
She graduated from TSJC as a licensed cosmetologist, she also worked briefly as a coal miner and bartended at various local bars. She was loved by all of her customers and made many lifelong friends. Berta was an avid Broncos fan, she loved to bake, cook, go fishing and spend time with her children, grandchildren and her beloved dog, Bear.
Berta was preceded in death by her soulmate Rudy, her son Frisco Duran, her parents Elias and Adela Romero, her siblings: Margaret Lucero, Tillie Ortiz, Elias “Lefty”, Jake and Louie Romero and Becky Wiening.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother Rueben Romero (Elaine); Sons: Kenneth Duran (Kiki Henderson), TJ Duran (Sheila), Daughter in law Brenda M Duran all of Trinidad. Numerous sisters in law and brothers in law; Grandchildren: Dustin Hengl, Deidra Duran, Zachary Busby, Gabbie, Jacquie, Frisco, Bronwyn and Kaitlynn Duran, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and true friends.
Services will be held at Comi Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11 AM.
Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
