In Loving Memory of Alice Passero Abshere

Alice Passero Abshere went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15th 2016, in Raton, New Mexico.

 

Alice was born in Sopris, CO on February 3, 1923 to Guerino and Louise (Alisho) Passero.
Alice graduated from Lincoln High School in 1940.

Alice met the love of her life at the Safeway Party at Eagle Hall in Trinidad, Colorado. They were married soon after on June 12, 1949 in Raton, New Mexico. Early in their marriage, they became co-owners of A+M Repair Company that is still family-owned today.

 

From their union came two sons, Bruce and Blaine.
abshere-aAlice loved to volunteer at the Catholic Church, and she also was a dedicated member of the MCMC Ladies Auxiliary for ever 50 years.

Alice and Bill could always be found at 9 a.m., having coffee at various establishments around town. They also attended many functions for the B.P.O.E Elks Lodge.
One of her many joys in life was passing down her traditional recipes to her family. One of her many joys in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Alice was preceded in death by her mother and father and her siblings.
Alice is survived by her husband Bill of 67 years, son Bruce and his wife Debby Abshere and son Blaine and his wife Rhonda Abshere, Grandchildren LaDonna Abshere Moltrer (Ray), KC Abshere, Angie Abshere Campbell (Josh), Cole Abshere, Nolan Abshere. Great Grandchildren, Tyler Moltrer, Trystan Moltrer, Blake Campbell, Brantley Campbell and Godson Joseph Terry.

 

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton recited by Frank Cimino Jr.. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 A.M. with father John Brasher as the celebrant. Rite of Christian Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton.
Pall Bearers will be Cole Abshere, Nolan Abshere, Ray Moltrer, Tyler Moltrer, Trystan Moltrer, and Joseph Terry. Honorary pall bearer, Joshua Campbell.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to MCMC Hospital Auxiliary. You are invited to join the family after the service at the Elks Club in Raton.
A+M Repair Company will be closed Wednesday, October 19th in Memory of Alice Abshere.

 

Arrangements and a celebration of love for Alice Passero Abshere are under the direction of the Yaksich- Long Funeral Home of Raton.

    knowing her……such a sweetheart and always offered a big hug. We’ll miss her on our trips up.
