In Loving Memory of Carrie Terry

Carrie Terry passed away peacefully Wednesday October 12, 2016 at Pikes Peak Hospice Inpatient Unit at Penrose Main Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was 98.
Carrie was born on May 6, 1918 in Sopris Plaza, Colorado, the second child of Louise (Alishio) and Guerino Passero. Her sister Theresa was the oldest, then Carrie, Joe, Alice, Ernest and Guerino Jr.  Carrie grew up in Sopris and Sopris Plaza.  As a youngster, she was active in sports. 
She  played baseball and basketball for Lincoln High School.  After graduation she continued to play baseball for a traveling women’s league, coached by Charles Dintleman and John Sebben.
Carrie was united in marriage to Sam Terry in September of 1938, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Carrie had an extreme love of life. She loved to garden, cook, sew,  knit, embroider, paint, cook and quilt. She was the family host of all special events.
 
Carrie is preceded in death by her husband Sam, loving daughters Bernadette and Cathy, parents, siblings and her special cousin and best friend Minnie Sebben. 
Carrie is survived by her children Joe and Louise Terry, Gary Terry, Lois Mantelli, Sam and Janette Terry, and Marco Terry,   grandchildren Gary and Lori Terry, Cheryl and Jon Robertson, Tony and Maria Mantelli,Chrisitie and James Roybal, Luke Terry,  Joshua and Laura Terry, Joe and Timi Terry, Matthew Terry, ReGina Terry and Ben Wilbor, and Heidi and Chris Embry,  great grandchildren Justin Terry,  Ricky Robertson, Dani Robertson, Carrie Lynn Terry, Jacob Lubischer, Natalia Wilbor, Maiya Roybal, Dominic Mantelli, Gabrilla Mantelli, Madison Embry, Lily Terry, Alexander Terry and Marli Terry. Also surviving is sister Alice and Bill Abshere, special friend and caretaker Vicki Garduno, her wonderful Pine Street neighbors, John and Debbie Sartori, Noah and Arianna, Marilyn and Melina Palovich and Josephine Montero.
Visitation will be Monday, October 17th from 10-Noon at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 17, 2016 1PM at Sebastiani Gym. Entombment will follow at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
