Raton High hosts 3-Team Volleyball Tourney

Raton hosted a three team volleyball tourney Thursday evening in Tiger Gym to get the volleyball season underway.

Des Moines and Primero joined Raton in a double elimination style tourney with Raton taking the tourney in six games.

In match one Raton dominated Primero on the court and at the net as Alina Pillmore and Autumn Archuleta made the spikes count. Raton performed well making their passes and setting the ball up for the hit over the net.

In match two Des Moines also dominated play against Primero with a young team that played well making the plays at the net and setting the ball up for the hit.

In match three Raton took on Des Moines and dominated the game one as Raton took an early and commanding lead. Des Moines however found the fire and stayed with Raton in the second game before Raton took control.
