In Loving Memory of Lorraine Elizabeth Quintana

Lorraine Elizabeth Quintana was born on January 13, 1960, in Raton, N.M. to her loving parents, Charlie and Clara Sanchez. The youngest of a devoted and caring family, Lorraine was a spirited and extraordinary individual, who grew to be a supportive wife and amazing mother. She had the capability of befriending anyone and the talent of bringing a smile to their face… this would prove to be her legacy.
quintana lLorraine braved many rainstorms, but it was how she basked in the sunshine of her life that defined her. She brought so much happiness and comfort to those who knew and loved her. She had a way of believing that all things were possible and enthusiastically shared her optimism with the world. Her bright smile, her contagious laugh, her delightful sense of humor, and most of all, the way that she supported her loved ones and cared for them unconditionally, were amongst her greatest gifts.
Whether it is because we will miss our hourly text, our daily call, our weekly lunch, our regular visits to laugh or cry, our late night conversations, or even the occasional embrace – our lives will never be the same. Our wife, mother, sister, Nana, Nina, Tina, auntie, niece, cousin, friend… will never be forgotten.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, as well as many beloved friends and family. Amongst them were her siblings, Helen Cordova, Louie Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez, William “Wedo” Sanchez, and Viola Bauler.
She is survived by her husband Lorenzo Quintana; daughters Elsie Quintana Garcia and Josephine Vasiljevic; grandchildren Eva Delgado, Ivan Garcia, and Petar and Luka Vasiljevic; and son-in-laws Ivan Garcia and Vladan Vasiljevic. She is also survived by her loving brother Julian Sanchez, sisters Bernadette and Leslie Varela, and many, many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends, which as we know, are far too numerous to name.
