Former RHS Athletes Are Empire Conference Champions At TSJC

Cam Baird and Ethan Washburn, former Raton High School teammates, were on the Trinidad State Junior College baseball team that became the Empire Conference Champion and the Region 9 Tournament Champion for the 3rd straight year. TSJC made it to the Final 30 Teams, losing in the West District Tournament to Western Nevada.
The Western Nevada team was beat by Yavapai in the West District Final. Yavapai went on to advance to the the Junior College World Series and won the Junior College World Series over San Jacinto North College. Trinidad ended up ranked 15th in the final national poll rankings
Cam Baird and Ethan Washburn, former athletes at RHS, were teammates on Trinidad State’s baseball team.
Both Ethan Washburn and Cam Baird will be leaving Trinidad State. Cam is headed to Texas State University; Ethan is undecided as to where he will attend.
