CITY OF RATON REGULAR COMMISSION MEETING

RATON CITY HALL, 224 SAVAGE AVE

TUESDAY, APRIL 26, 2016 AT 6PM

A regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Raton will be held on April 26, 2016 at 6 p.m.  The Meeting will be called to order by Mayor Mantz. The following subjects will be considered by the City Commission and may be considered in any order that is most convenient for the City Commission.

  1. Meeting Called To Order – Mayor Mantz 
  2. Roll Call of the Members of the City Commission and determination of quorum. 
  3. Pledge of Allegiance to the U. S. Flag. 
  4. Recognition of Visitors, Citizen of the Month and/or Presentation of Proclamation, Service Award, Congratulations, Condolences, Holiday Schedules and City/Municipal events –  
  • Next Regular Commission Meeting Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 6pm.
  • You Rock Award
  • Proclamation: RHS Cheerleading State Champions.
  • Proclamation: Drinking Water Week, May 1-7, 2016.

  3. Deliberate and Act Resolution 2016-21: Approval of the 3rd Financials.
  4. Deliberate and Act on Resolution 2016-22: Budget Adjustment #9 FY16.
  5. Deliberate and Act on CCJJACB Grant #16-18434 FY16 Budget Adjustment. 
  6. Deliberate and Act on Mutual Law Enforcement Agreement between Colfax County and the City of Raton 
  7. Deliberate and Act on Consideration of Easement for Encroachment of Garage on La Cueva Street. Residential usage located on Lots 21, 22, 23, and 24, Block 6 of the Willow Springs Addition, 933 North Third Street, grant to Pat and Carol Mares.              
  8. Deliberate and Act on Engineering Analytics Cost Proposal for Tiger Drive Project
  9. Deliberate and Act on Groundwater Monitoring Proposal from Gordon Environmental
  10. Deliberate and Act on Conveyance Contract Between BNSF Railway Company, a Delaware Corporation, and the City of Raton.
  11. Deliberate and Act on a Premises Lease Agreement Between the City of Raton and BNSF Railway Company, a Delaware Corporation. 
  12. Deliberate and Act on Extension of Tipping Fee Contract for Waste Management Midway Landfill.

I, the undersigned authority do hereby certify that the above notice of meeting of the governing body of the City of Raton, New Mexico is a true and correct copy of the said notice and that a said copy of this notice was then posted on the front window of the City Hall of said City in Raton, New Mexico in a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice was posted on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 5 p.m. and remained so posted continuously at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.  Said notice was also posted in six public places (Library, Aquatic Center, Senior Center, County Courthouse, International Bank, Post Office) conveniently placed for the public. Also, KRTN Radio Station and the City of Raton Website will have the agenda posted prior to respective time limits designated for regular and special meetings.
