In Loving Memory of John D. Fain

John D. Fain, age 73, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas. 
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Central Time on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Felt United Methodist Church in Felt, Oklahoma with Alan Shields officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

John D. Fain was born on November 4, 1942 in Clayton, New Mexico to Robert G. Fain, Sr. and Minnie L. (Drummond) Fain. He graduated from Felt High School in 1960. John was raised in Felt, Oklahoma where he farmed and ranched all of his life. He married Jane (Harder) Fain on June 11, 1966. John served on the Board of the Cimarron Memorial Hospital for many years and on the Boise City Farmers COOP Board for over thirty years. He was a member of the Felt United Methodist Church. John loved his life, farming, ranching and watching things grow and he especially loved all of his grandkids. John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Robert G. Fain, Jr., a sister as an infant and a brother-in-law; Byron Kenney.

SURVIVORS:

WIFE: Jane Fain of Felt, Oklahoma.

2 DAUGHTERS: Janetta Ann Bitting and her husband David of Amarillo, Texas and Lynn Burns and her husband Shawn of Canyon, Texas.

1 SON: J. J. Fain and his wife Helen of Felt, Oklahoma.

6 GRANDCHILDREN: Connor Fain, Devin Fain, Travis Fain, Ian Bitting, Calvin Burns & Danielle Burns.

1 SISTER: Barbara Kenney of Texline, Texas.

MEMORIALS: In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Felt United Methodist Church, 1st & Madison, Felt, Oklahoma 73937 or to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.
