In Loving Memory of Margie Madlynn Molinaro

Margie Madlynn Molinaro age 74, passed away November 20, 2015 at Pikes Peak Hospice after an extended illness.

She was born on October 23, 1941 in Walsenburg, CO, to Rose (Willburn) and Wallace Benson.

She grew up on a ranch along Turkey Creek in Huerfano County.

She was married to Sam Molinaro, and they celebrated their 54th anniversary.

Margie worked at Mt. San Raphael Hospital as an LPN until she left to start her family.

After her children were in school, she continued her nursing career at the Trinidad State Nursing Home for 23 years until her retirement.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother to her children and was the best Nana to her grandchildren.

Her specialty was cooking, making favorite dishes for her family, and baking cookies and breads during the holidays.

Preceding her in death are parents, Rose and Wallace Benson, daughter Kristine, grandson R.J. Molinaro and brother Tom Benson.

Survivors are husband Sam of home address, children Sammie Molinaro, Aurora, CO, Sheryl (Hal) Cardaci, Naples, FL, Ricky (Sue) Molinaro, Colorado Springs, CO, Ronnie Molinaro, Calahan, CO, Joanna Ponce, Pueblo West, CO, grandchildren, Samantha Molinaro, Rose Ponce, Jon Ponce, Joey (Shari) Buttenwieser, Sara (Don) Niebling, numerous  great grandchildren, brother Jerry (Caren) Benson, uncle Aaron Willburn, several sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Visitation  will be Friday, November 27, 2015 from 10AM-Noon at the Comi Chapel.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 27, 2015 with Rosary at Noon at the Comi Chapel, followed by the Funeral Mass at 1PM at Holy Trinity Church.

Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Penrose Foundation for John Zay  Guest House , 2131 N. Tejon, Colorado Springs, CO, 80907.
