In Loving Memory of Henry E. Ellis

Henry E. Ellis, age 61, passed away at home after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Trinidad, Colorado on March 22, 1954. He attended area schools having graduated from Trinidad High School in 1972.

Hank participated in sports, having played football, wearing the coveted 00 football jersey his Senior year. He also competed on the Miners wrestling team and track team where he was the District Champion in the 400 yard competition. Hank also was elected President of his 1972 Senior Class. 

On June 26, 1971, Hank married the love of his life Susan Sandoval.

Hank Ellis PicHe was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Trinidad Water Department.

Hank loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter.

Preceding him in death is his beloved wife Susan, parents, Josephine and Albert Duran, mother and father in law Martha and Ernest Sandoval.

Survivors are sons, Shane (Merrie) and Ryan Ellis, both of Phoenix, AZ, 3 grandchildren, Kyle, Ashlyn Drew and Connor, siblings, Berta (Ray) Garcia, Trinidad, Richard Ellis, brothers and sisters in law, Mike (Vanessa) Sandoval, Pueblo West, CO. Pat (DaLonna) Sandoval, Trinidad, CO, aunt Vicenta Duran Trinidad, CO, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2PM-6PM at the Comi Chapel.

Rosary will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 7PM at Comi Funeral Chapel (instead of Holy Trinity Church).

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 10AM at Holy  Trinity Church.

Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Hank’s many dear friends. Active pallbearers are John Torres, John Torres Jr., Ray Garcia, Ben Velasquez, Kyle Ellis and Stacey Sanchez.
