For the first time ever in Maxwell history, the Bears’ Cross Country Team placed 3rd in state this past weekend in Rio Rancho. Coach Joe Mitchell took the following Maxwell team runners: sophomore Carl Gonzales, freshman Jeremy Archuleta, senior Jeremiah Atencio, senior Thomas Mitchell, junior Aaron Salazar, 8th grader Kolten Riggs, junior Andrew Archuleta. The Maxwell team placed 3rd out of 17 teams that competed in Rio Rancho.
