In Loving Memory of Pete Mora

Our brother, Pete Mora, born in Raton in 1952, has gone to his etenal rest on October 1, 2015.
 
Pete graduated from Raton High School in 1970. He attended Denver Automotive School where he majored in Paint & Body. He started his business, Mor Cars with Eddie Cardenas. It wasn’t too much later when he started his career with the State Transportation Division as a Port Revenue Agent. He went to the Law Enforcement Academy and eventually achieved the rank of Sargent with the department of Public Safety. He retired after twenty-five years of service in 2001.
moraPete loved hunting and fishing and was an avid drag race fan. He was enjoying his retirement and dabbled in a little wine making. But his most favorite thing was organizing parties, being among friends and enjoying good company.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Mora and step-father Frank Mora.
 
He is survived by his brother Ramond Mora and his wife Cindy, his brother Paul Daniel Mora, his nephew Jerrod Mora, niece Marina Swanson (John), daughters Arianna and Gwenyth, nephew Heath Mora, sons Shaden, Rohnin, Jerole, Kenshin and daughter Isabel, nephew Jason Mora (Everetta), son Drayson and daughter Maysen, nephew Cain and his daughter Khaleesi, niece Amanda Troublefield (Nolin). He is also survived by aunt Emma Ruiz and husband Frank and cousins too numerous to mention.
 
Pete had many, many lifelong friends who would do anything for him and that Pete would have done anything for. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home.
Recitation of he Most Holy Rosary will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 9:30 A.M at St. Patrick-St. Joseph’s Church in Raton. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 at St. Patrick-St. Joseph’s Church with Father John Trambley as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.
Arrangements and a celebration of love for Pete Mora are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
