In Loving Memory of Velma L. “Cookie” Corradino

Velma L. “Cookie” Corradino, age 87, passed away at Parkview Medical Center on April 5, 2015 after a short illness.

She was born in Trinidad, CO, on March 12, 1928, the daughter of Violet (Flaiz) and Max Franch. She attended area schools graduating from Trinidad High School in 1946.

On October 2, 1948, Velma was united in marriage to Isador R. “Bud” Corradino at Holy Trinity Church in Trinidad, CO.

She was employed as a claims clerk for the General Adjustment Bureau and at Mt. San Rafael Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed baking, making Christmas decorations, sequin calendars and playing games on the IPad. Cookie also enjoyed her daily coffee time she shared with her sister Nettie.

Preceding her in death are parents Violet and Max Franch, husband Isador “Bud” Corradino, sisters Charlene Franch, Beldene Choate and Maxine Filer.

Survivors are sons Larry (Pam) Corradino, Trinidad, Richard Corradino, Walsenburg, granddaughter Laurie Corradino, Lubbock, TX, brothers and sisters Eugene Franch, Broomfield, Junetta (Pete) DeBono, Trinidad, Gayleen Schlageter, Ft. Collins, Gerald (Nancy) Franch, Trinidad, Ken (Florence) Franch, Broomfied,  Gary (Nora) Franch, TX, sister in law, Joyce Lepore, Minneapolis, MN., numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 2PM-7PM at the Comi Chapel.

Funeral Services will be Friday, April 10, 2015 with Rosary at 9AM at Comi Chapel, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.

Entombment will follow at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Bill Nuschy, Dave Barrack, Jeff Franch, Jake Franch, Dean Cimino and Joe DiGarbo.

The family respectfully requests the omission of food.
