In Loving Memory of Thomas B. Minnick

Thomas B. Minnick, age 95, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Clayton, New Mexico. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Trinity Fellowship Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Terrell Jones, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Thomas B. Minnick was born on September 29, 1919 in Erath County, Texas to Jasper Whitney Minnick and Nellie (Hale) Minnick. He graduated from high school in Iraan, Texas in 1939 and married Mary Beatrice “Bea” Minnick on April 2, 1940 in Iraan, Texas and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2012. Tom served in the US Navy during WWII and worked in the pot ash mines in Carlsbad for a few years before working as an electrician. Tom served as a Church Of Christ Minister for many years in churches all over the surrounding five state area. They retired in 2002 and moved to Clayton. In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by a daughter; Rosanne Hinton, a grandson; Barry Swart, 4 sisters; Rheta, Gladys, Lee & Tincey, 2 brothers; J.R. and Lester, a brother-in-law; Buddy and 5 sisters-in-law; Flodell, Oma, Lillian, Wilma and Betty.

1 DAUGHTER: Lacie Cook and her husband Bill of Clayton, New Mexico. 

1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Helen Duncan of Carlsbad, New Mexico. 

1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: James Falkner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

3 GRANDCHILDREN: Britt Swart of Clayton, New Mexico, Michael Exum and his wife Lisa of Lubbock, Texas and Lisa Walker of Cortez, New Mexico. 

5 Great-Grandchildren 

3 Great-Great-Grandchildren 

And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

MEMORIALS: The family suggests that memorials be made in Tom’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
