In Loving Memory of Loralai Nicole Gutierrez

This is to notify the community of Raton and surrounding area of the passing of Loralai Nicole Gutierrez who has gone to join our Lord in Heaven. A new Angel will look over us.

Loralai was born December 1st of 2010.  She had just turned 4 years old. She left us on January 2nd in her sleep in her mother’s arms, surrounded by family. Loralai battled brain cancer all her life and and was a fierce fighter.  Many doctors did not give her this long to be with us since her diagnosis back in January 2013.

Loralai left behind her mother Chantle Gutierrez of Centennial, Colorado, father Jeremy Pacheco of Raton NM, brother JT Pacheco of Rio Rancho, NM, grandparents Julian & Melissa Gutierrez of Maxwell NM, Todd & Patricia Brotherson of Centennial Co, Gina Naugle of Rio Rancho NM, great grandfather Ubaldo Carbajal of Ballesa Mexico, great grandmothers Lucy Pacheco of Raton, Santos Gutierrez of El Paso TX, uncles and aunts , Patrick, Isaiah, Christian, Eliz, Alicia, Shalomo and her bestest friend and aunt Abiella. And many great uncles, aunts, cousins and family friends.

Loralai has touched many with her warmth, love and laughter. She inspired many throughout her journey. She loved owls and liked to watch the Disney princess and Jack from the “Nightmare Before Christmas”. She loved to sing and dance. Many times she showed her tomboyish side as she liked to play with cars. She had a funny character to her. Loralai did not allow you to go to her, she came to you when she was ready. She loved school. She lit up when she heard the song “Hi Ho Hi Ho, off to work we go” at the end of the school day. She loved to sing songs with her mama. She had special stuffed toys and a blanket that she loved, which surrounded her when the angels gave her, her wings. She also had two special furry friends that were her guardians next to her until the end. And one is missing her very deeply. He kissed her precious face and guarded her until the end.

Loralai was a Hero to many, such a small child with an enormous strength. She brought light, hope and happiness to all she touched. No words can express such a great loss to family and friends. Her flesh may no longer be with us, but her story will live on forever in the lives of those she has touched. Her soul and memory will live forever.

The greatest following of Loralai was the people of Raton, NM. Chantle would like to thank Raton and the surrounding communities for all their love and support.
