The Professional Business Women’s Association held a candidate’s forum to allow the general public the opportunity to ask the candidates questions for the upcoming November election. The forum was held at the Shuler Theater Monday October 20. KRTN was there broadcasting the event on our FM 93.9 and AM 1490 as well as video that event for those who were unable to attend so you can see for yourself what the candidates had to say. Questions came from the audience in attendance and via email before the event.
If you are still undecided as to who to vote for or even wanting to know more about the candidates watch the video there are some very interesting, important comments made by those candidates. The sheriff’s race is one of the contested races and both candidates spoke to the drug problem and what steps to take to solve that problem. County commissioners will be faced with a number of issues in the upcoming year and they speak to those issues as well and more specifically to the detention center overcrowding issue.
