Joe Campanella, 97, was born January 24, 1917 in Dawson, New Mexico to John and Mary Campanella. He passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 9:30 A.M.
He married his wife, Peggy in 1946 in Artesia, New Mexico and moved to Cimarron, NM, in 1949. He owned and operated the Ranch Bar for thirty three years. They then moved to Raton in 1982.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margie Vetter. He is survived by his wife Peggy, son Charlie of Moffett, CO, and daughter, Betty of Albuquerque, NM, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held in Raton, NM, at a later date.
