The Raton Lady Tigers hosted the Trinidad Lady Miners Tuesday for the second match of the season and again the Lady Miners came away with the win for all three matches.
The C-team game went much like the one in Trinidad with both teams having problems controlling serves and passes. Trinidad however had more good serves for the win.
The JV ladies took the first game to get things together and in the second game it was a game to watch with a ties late in the game to add to the excitement. It was back and forth until Trinidad to control after a 26 tie. Trinidad pulled it out 28-26.
The varsity ladies made things interesting starting at game one keeping things close with a ties late in the game at 24. Trinidad took the lead on a unanswered serve and the win on a missed pass.
The girls kept it up during the next two games with the Lady Tigers at times having problems with completing passes and communicating within the team.
They kept the third game close until late when Trinidad had a couple of good serves and Raton had a couple of missed passes and lost blocks.
