In Loving Memory of Manuel J. Apodaca

Manuel J. Apodaca age 79, of Raton, was called to be with our Lord in heaven Wednesday September 3, 2014. He was born October 20, 1934 in Raton, NM, the son of Matias and Isabel Maes-Apodaca. Manuel married Susie (Rivera) Apodaca on July 2, 1955. He was a retired Miner a member of the U.M.W.A. and a member of St. Patrick’-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton. 
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Billy, Raymond and Johnny Apodaca, and his wife Lorraine Apodaca and a son Robert Dwayne Apodaca. He is survived by his wife of fifty nine years Susie of the home, daughter Cheryl and son Rodney both of Fountain, CO., brother Henry Apodaca and wife Zelma of Raton. Sisters-in-law Cleo Apodaca of Raton, Elaine Apodaca of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Visitation will be Sunday September 7, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton. 
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Monday September 8, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton recited by Deacon Thomas Alderette. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 A.M. with Father John Trambley as the celebrant, Rite of Christian burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery in Raton. 
Arrangements and celebration of love for Manuel J. Apodaca are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
