Raymond Eugene Luksich Sr. age 74 of Raton, passed away Friday May 30, 2014 in Raton. He was born February 15, 1940 in Raton, NM, the son of Andy and Virginia Obereosler-Luksich. Mr. Luksich worked for many years in maintenance for the Public School system.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, brother Gilbert and grandson Justin. He is survived by his two sons, Raymond E. Luksich Jr. and wife Angel of Raton, and Charles A. Luksich and wife Alicia of Raton. Three grandchildren Valerie Alderette, Miranda Luksich, Brandon Luksich and 1 great grandchild Justin Luksich Jr.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Thursday June 5, 2014 at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton.
Funeral services will be Friday June 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Tom Alderette officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton.

Ray and me run together when were young, late 50s 60s. I left Raton late 60s But when i did go home one of the first guys i went to see was Ray.last seen him was last summer at his home.. He is one guy that i will miss. One of the best memorys is going to the masa with Ray and his dad to brand, castorate ,dehorn calves ea summer.. i loved this time.. I will miss Ray .. Thanks Ray for the good times
