By Marty Mayfield

Game one started out with a run for the Osos and the scoring went back and forth. Cie Arell was the big hitter for the Osos as he took a single in the fifth and a triple in the seventh to help the Osos add another one in the win column. They beat the north division Fuego 7-6. The Osos had 12 hits to score the seven runs with only five errors while the Fuego took nine hits to score the six runs with two errors.

Game two was under beautiful blue skies Tuesday evening at Gabriele Field as both teams posted goose eggs on the board for the first four innings of the game before Nick Billinger singled and then worked his way around the base to score the first run for Santa Fe. Chuvas Nuvata put the second run on the board for the Fuego in the fifth.

When the final out rolled around the Fuego had seven runs on 14 hits but what probably made the big difference was the 10 errors the Osos made in the game.

The Fuego lead the northern division 9-4 while the Osos are now stand at 6-6 on the season.

Mitch Ward makes it back to first base safe, at least two base runners were picked off at first during the game Tuesday evening
