Moyie Carol Herriman

Moyie Carol (Palmer) Herriman, age 67, died Monday, March 31, 2014 in Amarillo, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating.
Moyie Carol (Palmer) Herriman was born on April 19, 1946 in Sedan, New Mexico to Dale Wallace Palmer and Ora Thelma (McKee) Palmer. She grew up in the Sedan and Clayton, New Mexico area. Moyie met her husband Verl at Vici, Oklahoma in the fall of 1972. When Moyie and her cousin Wayne Lookingbill were driving around at Woodward, Oklahoma. Verl saw her and Fell in Love with her. Later Verl got up enough nerve to ask her out and they were married September 7, 1973 and have been together all these years. Moyie was a homemaker and a wonderful seamstress. She loved to make quilts. She cut out and pieced together well over 100 quilts for her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and many friends. Moyie loved to bowl in the league at Dalhart, she went to Reno, Nevada and Kansas City, Kansas to bowl in the bowling nationals. She had a collection of bowling nicknacks that she would always add to so she could have something to remember the fun that she had while she bowled at the different places. Her bowling partner was her mother. Moyie loved to travel the back roads with Verl to see where the road went to. Moyie loved to go to see the leaves as they were turning colors in the fall and would always say, “I don’t see any hi-line wires so we must be lost”. Due to her health problems, she couldn’t get around like she wanted to so she talked to her family on the phone a lot and spent a lot of time on her computer on facebook or playing games. Moyie was preceded in death by her mother and father, a brother; Alvin Dale Palmer and a sister-in-law; Lois Ivey (Jennings) Palmer.
SURVIVORS:
HUSBAND: Verl Herriman of Vici, Oklahoma.
3 SISTERS: Amy Garrison and Margaret Garrison both of Hayward, California and Jane Reynolds of Granite, Oklahoma.
3 BROTHERS: Larry Palmer of Mansfield, Texas, Wallace Palmer and Jerry Palmer both of Dalhart, Texas.
And a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
