In Memory of Jamie Padilla

(October 5, 1975 – November 30, 2013)

 

Jamie D. Padilla, age 38, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his home in Clayton, New Mexico.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 2 by Deacon P. Louis Montoya and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 3, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joel Bugas, Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Jamie Padilla was born on October 5, 1975 in Clayton, New Mexico to Arlene M. (Leal) Espino. His grandparents; Gilbert and Mary Leal played a big role in raising Jaime. He attended school in Clayton and graduated from Clayton High School in 1994 and worked at Dairy Queen for a few years until he started going blind. He went to a school in Alamogordo to learn how to live and work on his own while blind and then he moved to Albuquerque where he lived for three years and attended UNM for two years before returning home to Clayton when he became to sick to live on his own. Jamie touched many peoples lives and hearts and will be greatly missed by numerous friends and family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Gilbert and Mary Leal and by an Aunt; Elaine Casanova.

MOTHER: Arlene M. Espino of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 SISTERS: Melody Padilla and Alillery Acosta of Amarillo, Texas, Stacy Espino of Clayton, New Mexico and Felina Esoino of Texline, Texas.

2 AUNTS: Cathy Sisneros and her husband Edward and Marlene Rios and her husband Antonio all of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 UNCLE: David Leal and his wife Marilyn of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 HALF-SISTERS: Dwana, Misty & Charmalee.

GOD-SONS: Antonio Rios and Steven Garcia.

4 Paternal Aunts, 1 Paternal Uncle

And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
